Micah Waring

Pronounced Mee-kah. I am a middle child, Virgo, hash-brown enthusiast and sport lover. I enjoy playing more than watching, so please don’t ask me about the Premier League. I grew up between Thailand, Portugal and Poland, and each place shaped who I am and how I work. Thailand taught me the sabai sabai way, which keeps me and my productions grounded. Portugal reconnected me with dancing and a culture where everybody is welcome. It taught me to bring playful energy into serious moments, so creativity opens up and tough problems feel workable. Poland gave me order and an academic mindset, which means I adapt quickly and run tight ships when it counts. Moving around made me appreciate how fleeting moments are, which is when I got into photography. I loved how I could make people feel seen and beautiful. After graduating from Bayes Business School with a BSc in Business Marketing, I became Eva Apio’s assistant. I learned the rhythm of social production while photographing for her million-plus audience, and carried that discipline into agency life.

At BBH I’m an Integrated Creative Producer working across stills, reels, social, digital, experiential and occasional TV. Recent clients include Audi, Burger King, Tesco, Chupa Chups, Monzo, Paddy Power, F&F, Tesco Mobile and Tesco Ireland. I’ve delivered campaigns with budgets from £2k to £1m, scaling the approach to make the work feel world-class at any size. My passion lies in pairing the right talent with the right brief and shaping projects that feel culturally sharp enough for editorial eyes. I’m known for championing up-and-coming photographers, keeping calm in chaos, and making the process enjoyable so teams and suppliers want to come back and work with me. At BBH I’ve learned alongside some of London’s renowned art buyers and stills producers, absorbing their knowledge on photography, production and childbirth whenever I can. They are the production aunties I’m forever grateful to have.

The Unsigned Union is a cross-agency platform for unrepresented talent, giving them a real stage and real contacts. We host annual stills and film events, exhibit artists’ work, and create introductions that help turn part-time passion into full-time careers; in 2023, four of eleven artists were signed within a week of the event. Having now helped deliver two Unsigned events, I scout stills talent, curate the exhibition, and plan each event alongside my team. Beyond the events, I stay connected with artists, offering advice and production support wherever I can. Through Unsigned, I meet brilliant photographers and see the cracks they fall through: too many are ghosted when payment is due, unsure about usage terms, or unclear on how to market themselves, while large clients default to the same familiar names and the door stays half shut to new voices.
